Reserve with Google: let customers book from your Google listing

Reserve with Google adds a Book button to your business on Google Search and Maps, so customers can pick a time straight from your listing. It only works if you use a booking system that's a Google partner, such as Fresha, Booksy, Square Appointments, Setmore or SimplyBook.me. You switch it on from your Google Business Profile or from your booking system.

Google itself doesn't list a fee, but your booking system might charge.

Checked 18 Oct 2026

How it works

Google says Reserve with Google is "only available in certain countries/regions for businesses that work with a supported scheduling provider" (Google). Your booking system sends your services and free times to Google. The customer sees a Book button on your listing, picks a service and time, and the booking goes into your diary.

For appointments, like salons and physios, Google's developer pages now describe a "redirect" set-up: the customer starts on Google, then finishes the booking on your booking system's own page (Google). Either way, the button is on your Google listing, and the booking goes into your system.

Which businesses can use it

Google's policy for appointment bookings lists eligible types, including:

Type Examples
Beauty Hair salon, barber, beauty salon, nail salon
Wellness Gym, yoga studio, massage, personal trainer
Health Doctor, dentist, physiotherapist
Home services Plumber, electrician, cleaner
Pets Pet groomer, dog trainer

Restaurants use a separate reservations version (Google).

Which UK booking systems connect

Google publishes a list of partners. On 18 October 2026 it included, among others: Fresha, Booksy, Treatwell, Setmore, SimplyBook.me, Square Appointments, Mindbody, Appointy, Salonized and Dojo. For restaurants: OpenTable, ResDiary and SevenRooms.

Some details from the booking systems' own pages:

  • Booksy says it has been a partner since July 2017, and lists Reserve with Google in its UK plan (Booksy).
  • Setmore lists Reserve with Google on both its free and paid plans (Setmore).
  • Phorest lists its Reserve with Google integration from its Ultimate tier upwards (Phorest). (Phorest wasn't on Google's partner list when we checked.)
  • Timely wasn't on Google's partner list when we checked.

If your current system isn't on the list, you can still add a booking link (see below).

How to set it up

From your Google Business Profile (Google):

  1. Sign in and open your Business Profile on Google.
  2. Select Bookings.
  3. Select Get started.
  4. Choose your booking provider.
  5. Select Done.

Google says your booking providers will show on your profile within a week. Many booking systems also have a switch in their own settings that does the same job. Check your provider's help pages.

Before you start, make sure your business name and address match exactly in Google and your booking system. Google matches partners to your listing using details like your name, address and phone number (Google).

The catches to check first

  • Deposits and no-show fees may not apply. Square says bookings made through Reserve with Google "cannot be secured with prepayment or no-show protection", and classes and no-show fees aren't compatible (Square). Ask your provider whether your deposit rules also apply to Google bookings.
  • Renting a chair or room? Square says only the owner or tenant of the premises can use it. Booth or room renters don't qualify.
  • Your provider might charge. Google says "your provider might charge you" for bookings made through Google. Check whether bookings from Google count as new marketplace clients with a commission.
  • Keep your availability right. Google shows the times your system sends. If your diary is out of date, customers will book slots you can't do.

If your booking system isn't a partner, or you'd rather keep it simple, you can add your own booking link to your Business Profile (Google). Customers tap it and go to your normal booking page. Google says it doesn't show performance data for custom links, so you won't see how many people used it in your Google stats (Google).

How to turn it off

On Google Search, open your Business Profile and select Booking, then Remove Provider. In Google Maps, select Edit profile, then Booking, then Remove Provider (Google). You can also switch it off in your booking system's settings.
